Your chart says 38%. Now hear why.
Every quant study ends the same way: a number you trust, and a “why” you're inferring. Most qual doesn't close that gap, because most qual is a recollection. Someone sits in a room weeks later and tries to remember what they were thinking at the shelf.
Ours isn't. MFour's first-party panel answers surveys on a video-capable mobile app, and a GPS location trigger fires the survey in the moment: an in-store intercept while they are standing in the aisle, or a post-purchase exit interview on the walk back to the car. So when you need the why, you don't field a separate qual study and wait three weeks. You ask the same respondents to turn on their camera.
Collecting the video is the easy part. A thousand clips land in your project and someone has to actually watch them. Most teams end up sampling: watch a hundred, assume the rest, or ship everything to a vendor and wait days for a deck. Either way the qual stays anecdotal. You can quote it, but you can't size it.
DANI Reel Studio, now live inside MFour Studio's Multimedia workspace, connects the two halves of that job: it reads every transcript, counts every theme, and builds the reel that proves it. Everything happens in the same place your survey data already lives. No exporting clips, no juggling a separate transcription tool or editing app, no waiting on someone else's timeline. Four steps take you from raw video to a number you can defend: transcribe, synthesize, build, publish. A job that used to take days, done in minutes.
Transcription
Open a video question and the transcripts are already there: searchable, organized, and ready to explore. No exporting clips, no separate transcription tool, no waiting.
Click into any response and a full clip viewer opens with the transcript right alongside it, so you can read and watch at the same time. Step through responses one after another with a click or the arrow keys.
Where available, the store the respondent was standing in shows up right on the video. That is not a label added after the fact: it is the GPS trigger that sent them the survey in the first place, which is why you're hearing what they thought in the aisle instead of what they remember about it a month later.
Whether you're scanning fifty responses or five hundred, the list is built to keep up: everything loads smoothly, and search covers every response, not just what's on screen.
Synthesize
Once you're ready to make sense of the responses, hit Analyze. DANI reads through every transcript for that question and surfaces the themes that actually show up (what people are saying, how they feel about it, and how often it comes up) organized into clear theme cards with a percentage and sample size attached to each one.
Every number you see is counted directly from the responses, not estimated or guessed, so when you show a stat to a stakeholder you can stand behind it. Each theme comes with a handful of representative clips, so you can see the evidence behind the number, not just the number itself.
Analysis runs in the background, so even large studies don't leave you staring at a spinner. Check back and it's ready.

Create your reel
From your themes or your transcript list, start pulling clips into a reel. Don't want to start from scratch? One click builds a balanced first draft for you, pulled across your themes so it reflects the full range of responses, not just the loudest ones. Prefer more control? Choose specific themes to pull from, or just describe what you're looking for.
From there, it's yours to shape:
- Trim the start or end of any clip, or lift just the moment you need out of a longer response.
- Clean up filler words and awkward pauses with one click.
- Your original footage is always preserved: editing a reel never touches the source video.
- Everything saves automatically as you go, so you can step away and pick up right where you left off.
When it's ready, export the whole reel as a single polished video.
Publish
Your final screen shows the real story: your key findings, your themes, your sample sizes, ready to share. From here you can copy a link back to the live view, export a clean PDF, or publish the finished video and PDF straight into your project's document library, so the deliverable lives where your team already works instead of buried in a downloads folder.
The bottom line
DANI Reel Studio turns a pile of unwatched video into an evidence-backed reel you can put in front of a stakeholder, without a vendor, without hand-watching every clip, and without waiting days for the deck. You review and approve every step of the way; DANI does the heavy lifting in between.
